How Does It Work?
Restylane’s line of dermal fillers contain varying hyaluronic acid (HA) gels; each product contains a specific HA particle size that helps achieve ideal results without inhibiting natural movements or expressions. For example, smaller HA particles can be used for subtle shaping and augmentation, while larger HA particles are used to add volume to the midfacialc region. Restylane products can last one year or more, depending on the injection that’s used.
Is It Painful?*
Restylane injections aren’t painful but they do use needles to deliver the hyaluronic acid gel to the treatment site. For that reason, your Derma Tech specialist can use a special numbing cream or ice to minimize any pain or discomfort you might feel during the treatment.
Side effects can include bruising, swelling, and slight bleeding at the injection site. These side effects are normal and should disappear within a couple of weeks.
Am I A Good Candidate For Restylane?
While each Restylane product is different, you’re usually a good candidate for these injectables if:
• You have significant lines and/or wrinkles around the cheeks, nose, and/or mouth
• You’ve experienced facial volume loss (sunken cheeks, dark undereye circles, etc.)
• You have smoker’s mouth (wrinkles around the lips)
• You want to achieve a plumper pout
